They searched for over an hour, calling softly, hoping hed answer. But the night stayed still.<br/><br/>Then came a message—hes back.<br/><br/>Within minutes, one of the volunteers returned. And there he was, eating quietly, as if exhaustion had finally outweighed his fear. When she reached for him, he didnt run. He didnt fight. He allowed himself to be picked up, gently placed into a carrier—like he still trusted that being chosen meant he was safe.<br/><br/>When they scanned him and found a microchip, hope filled the room. This had to be it. After everything, he was going home.<br/><br/>But he wasnt.<br/><br/>At 11 years old, Sensei had already lived several lives. Adopted at three, forgotten years later.
