Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue Mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old.<br/><br/><br/>A lady on Next Door reached out to our rescue partner and asked if she could help a kitten. She was found in a bush alone in Redondo Beach, Ca. SELENA was feisty and so small. She really was made to be a house (queen) kitty .<br/><br/><br/>SELENA is now ready for her FUREVER home. Meet SELENA, a cat with a personality as unique as her name. She's a master of hide and seek, often found tucked away in the most unexpected corners. Her mellow nature makes her the perfect companion for quiet evenings, yet her intelligence is evident in the way she cleverly navigates her surroundings. <br/><br/><br/>SELENA’s independence allows her to entertain herself, but her goofy side comes out when she's in the mood for play, making you chuckle with her sassy antics. However, don't be fooled, she has a feisty streak and isn't afraid to assert herself when necessary. Adopt SELENA and enrich your life with her multifaceted personality. <br/><br/><br/>SELENA does ask for pets. She actually demands them. She loves to play and will let you know she likes her can food! She is a petite little queen! She is a gorgeous little teenager. But don't take our word for it...go meet her! She is not a lap cat, but we can see her potential! She has lived indoors with her foster siblings. <br/><br/><br/>SELENA is a CALICO / DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR MIX. She is about 5 years old and 0 months old and is good with cats. In her foster home, she was around other kittens and older cats. She would probably do better as the queen of her house. She does better with sweet calm cats. She's afraid of confrontational cats. She has never been around children and is not quite used to dogs.<br/><br/><br/>SELENA is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California.<br/><br/><br/>ADOPTION PROCESS:<br/><br/>1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)<br/>2. Fill Out Online Form<br/>3. Submit Online Application<br/>4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview<br/>5. Will be notified of Approved Application<br/>6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)<br/>7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty<br/>8. Sign Adoption Contract<br/>9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)<br/>10. Take the Kitty Home<br/><br/><br/>********* MAY CONSIDER OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS NEAR CALIFORNIA BUT BE AWARE THAT WE WILL NOT SHIP. ADOPTER WILL NEED TO PICK UP**********<br/><br/><br/>The cats/kittens at a foster/rescue home, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do the OFFICIAL MEET and GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below: <br/><br/><br/>****Please note we only have cats physically in MURRIETA and INDUSTY ONLY. Gas donations always appreciated!<br/><br/><br/>************* Please no calls to the rescue. No one is available to take calls. ************<br/><br/><br/>If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.<br/><br/><br/>Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.<br/><br/><br/>We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue.
