Sebastian's Story

Sebastian here! You may be wondering what's wrong with my mouth. Sadly I was abandoned in an apartment complex when my "owners", who adopted me 7 years ago in Ohio of all places, moved out and set me loose. They didn't want me back :( When I was left outside I was not provided with flea preventative, so I was doing my best to groom them off but as a result I got this lip situation, known as a rodent ulcer, due to my severe allergy to fleas. It has improved dramatically since I was rescued!! The picture of me with the peppermint background is when i was first rescued.
Also great news my rescuers did have my lip biopsied and it is not cancer, but it is likely my lips will just be like this for the rest of my life. It doesn't bother me tho, I can eat any food, wet or dry, and can scarf down treats no problem.

Despite my abandonment, I am a very loyal guy who just wants to be around his foster parents whenever possible. I enjoy being held, even tho I am a very large cat (not fat, just tall and long), and I like curling up around the house on chairs. I will play some, but at my age I am more interested in getting attention from humans than anything else. If anyone comes over to my foster home, I am one of the first cats to greet them! I am not shy at all.

My go to move, and what my foster mom says is one of the cutest things she's ever seen, is to gently paw at the leg of a human if I feel they arent paying enough attention to me. I am very dainty about it, and its really just a reminder tap that I am hear and looking for love, foster mom thinks its adorable.

I tolerate other cats but I am not out here looking to cuddle or play with them. In fact if they get too close I will give them a smack, but that's all i ever do.

I think i deserve a loving home, one who will not move me to a new state and then abandon me.

I am neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots (FVRCP and rabies), FeLV/FIV/HW tested (negative), dewormed and of course of on prescription flea and tick prevention!

To arrange a meet and greet with me, please submit an application here:
https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HPPL/Cat
