Seagram's Story
Seagram is a charming, beautiful girl who loves to play! She especially enjoys leaping for wand toys and chasing the laser pointer. Always the first to greet her foster mom at the door, Seagram loves touch. She will even stand on her hind legs to reach up for pets and head scratches! She also loves Churu or Catit treats, and can be easily enticed to lick them off your finger. This adorable tabby is initially very timid and guarded when she meets new people. However, she continues to make good progress in her foster home, little by little. Once you gain her trust, she will climb into your lap for brief periods of time, but prefers to be a proximity friend who will lay at your feet or snuggle next to you. Because of her more tentative nature, Seagram would do best in a quieter home with adults and older children who can help her continue to build her confidence in people. She would also not like a home with yapping or high activity dogs. Slow and calm introductions, as well as starting her off in a smaller space with fewer hiding spots (like a bathroom) will help ensure a smoother transition to her new home! She has been very interested in other cats, making friends quickly, just like her sister, Bacardi. She would love to go to a home with another playful young cat. Meet Seagram by completing our online adoption application. She does not attend our adoption events because of her nervousness in new places and with new people. Her sister is Bacardi. All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, FELV/FIV tested, dewormed and started on monthly flea preventative.

All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information.

Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label.

Mountain Pet Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit tax deductible charity (EIN 82-3039637) located in Asheville, NC.
