Scruffy's Story

Meet Scruffy – the softest tabby with the gentlest heart

Scruffy is a beautiful brown tabby kitten, about 6 months old, with the softest fur you’ve ever felt. When he first came to us, he was looking pretty rough and unkempt—truly “scruffy”—and that’s how he earned his name. Today, he’s all fixed up and no longer scruffy in appearance, but he does have a uniquely gorgeous tabby pattern that makes him extra special.

Scruffy absolutely adores other cats and kittens. He greets everyone with affection, loves to play, and is happiest when he has animal friends to share his days with. Whether it’s romping around or curling up together afterward, Scruffy thrives on companionship and would be lonely without another cat or even a friendly dog in his home.

Once he feels safe, Scruffy melts into love. He enjoys being picked up, cuddling, and climbing into your lap to be close to you. He is shy with new people and may not show his full personality right away, but once he realizes you are his person, he will give you endless affection and loyalty.

Because he came from living outside, Scruffy has learned to be cautious with new situations. For that reason, he would do best in a quieter household—one where he can feel secure, loved, and understood—along with animal playmates to keep him company.

If you’re looking for a soft, sweet companion who will bond deeply with you and fill your home with gentle love, Scruffy is ready to find his forever family. 🐾💛

All cats and kittens adopted through Friends of Felines are spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on FVRCP vaccinations and rabies shots (if old enough).

See our adoption process below:

1) Fill out the adoption application at https://friendsofelines.org/adopt
2) Meet with the cat in their foster home
3) If you and the cat are a match then we will set a take home date 1-7 days after the meeting depending on schedules.
