Scout's Story

Meet Scout
Scout is a senior kitty with the perfect blend of sugar and sass - a seasoned gentleman who knows exactly what he likes and isn't shy about telling you.
He's wonderfully adaptable and would be happy as an indoor companion or in an appropriate outdoorfriendly setup. Wherever he lands, Scout brings confidence, character, and a whole lot of heart. His personality is a delightful mix: part sweet cuddleseeker, part spicy little boss who enjoys calling the shots. He'll charm you with his expressive eyes, bold attitude, and the way he struts around like he owns the place (because in his mind, he does).
Scout is FIV positive, which simply means he shouldn't live with other cats. It doesn't stop him from living a long, happy, healthy life - he just needs to be the solo feline in the home.
If you're looking for a senior cat with personality, presence, and plenty of love to give, Scout is ready to be your oneandonly.

Foothills Humane Society's Adoption Policy
Interested in adopting? We want to make it easy and fun to bring home a new best friend! When you choose an animal you’d like to make part of your family, please fill out an adoption application online at www.foothillshumanesociety.org/adopt Once you do this, our friendly adoption coordinator will spend time reviewing your application to ensure the pet you’ve chosen will be a great fit with your home and lifestyle. Then, we will contact you to schedule an appointment to come meet the animal. Your new pet’s adoption fee will be based primarily on age and species. Our adoption fees are also much less than those at other shelters, even though they are fully vetted, trained and ready to go home. Our adoptions fees are as follows: Dogs age 6 months and older are $80 Puppies under 6 months are $250-$450 Cats age 6 months and older are $30 Kittens under 6 months are $50 (second one FREE) We often hold special promotions when these fees are lowered, waived or adopters ‘name their own fee’ for adoptions. Your adoption fee covers the cost of spay/neuter surgery, testing, vaccinations, and microchipping. Your new pet has received all the love, attention, medications, and veterinary care they need to join their new family!
