Scotch Bonnet's Story

Scotch Bonnet might be named after a spicy pepper, but she’s all sweet — with just a hint of shy! This 8-month-old beauty was found in a backyard with her feral momma and two male siblings, and she’s been learning the comforts of indoor life ever since.

She has a gentle, demure spirit and takes her time to come out of her shell. But once she feels safe? She turns into a total purr machine.

Scotch Bonnet enjoys soft pets, chin scratches, cozy hideaways, and quiet company. Her favorite pastime is snuggling and playing with other cats, so she’d thrive in a home with another feline friend. She has recently discovered cat TV and loves to watch birds and squirrels. Her stunning tabby stripes and sparkling peridot eyes only add to her charm — she’s as photogenic as she is affectionate.

Ideal home:
Patient and loving adopter(s)
Quiet, non-chaotic and calm household
Another friendly cat to bond with
Willing to let her bloom at her own pace

Give this sweet girl a little time and calm environment, and she’ll give you her whole heart!

Safe Haven for Animals's Adoption Policy
Our Adoption Process We have a clear and well-structured process in place to find the best possible homes for our animals in need. This process begins with you filling out our Adoption Request Form designed to collect important details and insights from potential adopters so we can match you with the best possible pet. Once complete, we move forward by setting up a visit for you to meet our cats in person. One of our Adoption Coordinators will provide a tour of our facility and introduce you to our available cats. Our adoption coordinators have extensive knowledge of every cat and can help answer questions about individual personalities, habits, and special needs. Should you decide to choose a specific cat during this meeting, we then schedule a home visit to deliver your new pet, ensure it’s a safe and suitable environment, and provide a care kit for the new pet. To support a smooth transition, we also make a follow-up call about a week later to see how everything is going to ensure both the adopter and the cat are settling in well together.
