Scooter's Story
Scooter is a 2-year-old short-haired gray tabby with the most adorable face and a quietly sweet soul. At first glance, he may hang back and observe — Scooter is cautious with new people and needs a little time to feel comfortable in unfamiliar places. But patience with this handsome boy is richly rewarded.

Once he settles in, Scooter blossoms into a loving, affectionate companion. He enjoys pets and attention, but he’s also a cat who appreciates his independence. He’s perfectly content spending some quiet time on his own before coming back for more love. It’s a balance that makes him such a wonderful, easy companion.

Scooter has always been the yin to his sister Myra’s yang. The two share a special bond, and Myra relies on him a great deal. We would truly love to see them stay together so they can continue to give each other confidence and comfort in their new home.

He has also proven himself to be an excellent office assistant. Scooter routinely “helps” with typing, paperwork, and general administrative duties — usually by positioning himself strategically between the keyboard and the human. If you work from home, you may find you’ve hired a very dedicated (and handsome) new coworker.

Scooter has never been around other cats and can be territorial with anyone who isn’t his sister, so he would do best in a home with just Myra. He has not been around dogs. Because he is easily startled, Scooter would not thrive in a noisy or highly active household, and he would not do well with small children. A calm, patient home with respectful older children (or adults only) would allow him to truly shine.

If you’re looking for a gentle, thoughtful companion — and are open to welcoming a beautifully bonded pair — Scooter (and Myra) may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.
