Scooter's Story
Meet Scooter, a FIV+ Senior Sweetheart, ready for her fur-ever home! Scooter's journey starts with coming to FieldHaven with her brothers, Junior, Bubba, and Snowy. Their journey to FieldHaven began with a desperate phone call and a race against time. Four senior cats in Medford, Oregon—each adored, gentle, and well cared for—were suddenly left without a guardian when their person passed away. With their future uncertain and no plan in place, they were heartbreakingly close to euthanasia simply because they were older and FIV-positive. But compassion won. Through an incredible network of rescuers, animal advocates, and big-hearted humans who refused to give up, these four friends were transported safely to FieldHaven, where they were welcomed with soft beds, warm blankets, and loving arms. Now,Scooter is ready to start the next chapter of her life... with you. Scooter – Age 10 Adoption Fee Sponsored by Connected Technology! Hi, I'm Scooter and I've been in my foster home for a while now, so I've really let my true colors shine. As my foster family can attest, I'm a chatty girl - my opinions need to be heard! I love people and other cats, and would love to be in a home with other cats who don't mind having me around. After all, I'll talk to them, too! I don't mind loud little humans, as long as they respect my boundaries. I will most likely choose a favorite human, who I will follow around the house and choose to sit with on the couch. Little dogs are no bother to me, either, as long as they respect my boundaries! For pets, I prefer head scratches and long strokes from top of head and tip of tail. I don't like to be held; I'm 10 years young and like to walk on my own! Lastly, despite my blossoming extrovert personality, I would appreciate a quite space to call my own, where I can take time for me and catch a break from everything. Does that sound doable? I've been through a lot, but my heart is as soft as ever. If you're looking for a gentle soul to warm your home, I would love to meet you! Please stop by the FieldHaven shelter or fill out an adoption application to meet me today. I can't wait to snuggle my way into your heart. About FIV: FIV is not a life-ending diagnosis. These cats can live long, healthy lives—often without symptoms—and FIV is not easily transmitted to other cats. They simply need normal indoor living and regular vet care. Here at FieldHaven, we welcome FIV+ cats with open arms because their lives are every bit as precious. <font face = "Arial"size="4"><C>My adoption is sponsored! Thank you Connected Technology <font face = "Arial"size="2"><c> <font face = "Arial"size="2"> All cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, have received age-appropriate vaccines and are microchipped.click here
