Scooter

Scooter is a 6 year old tuxedo male cat. He was adopted from the Kingston Animal Shelter 5 years ago when he was just a kitten. A few months ago, his family moved out of state and decided not to take him and returned him to the shelter. Unfortunately, based on observations made by staff, he seems to be wary of new people and is very afraid of feet. He also had some dental issues which the shelter addressed and took care of. Since then, Scooter has been feeling much better. Once you gain his trust, he is sweet and affectionate. Scooter loves to be brushed and enjoys his crunchy treats. In the right home, he is sure to open up and be the cat he is meant to be. We have also discovered he really enjoys the company of other cats. If you have a buddy he can pal around with, it would only benefit him more. We believe having a friend would build up his confidence. We are unsure how he'd feel about a dog and think he would do better with kids 12 and older.
