Schitt's Creek: Alexis Rose's Story

"There is nothing wrong with asking for what you deserve." - Alexis Rose
Alexis knows what she deserves - a forever family of her very own, and she's asking for them, now, please! Like her namesake, our Alexis has had a few misadventures in her past. And now that's exactly how she'd like to keep them - in her past - so she can move out of the Schitt's Creek motel and into her forever home. Alexis was found living outside in a colony in a junkyard during one of the coldest winters New England has seen in quite a few years. She was lucky enough to slip out of that escapade and into a warm, safe foster home. Alexis is gorgeous in her boho-chic tabby coat with her striking M marking and cinnamon nose. Alexis loves to be pet and cuddled, but she's a little cautious after this start to life, and would do well in a home with older, respectful children or only adults. Alexis loves other cats and would be great in a home with them, perhaps one of her family. There's a lucky family out there for her, what home wouldn't be better with A Little Bit Alexis?

As a general rule, we recommend that young kittens only go in pairs or to households that already have another pet. Young kittens on their own, no matter how much attention they get from humans, usually get bored and tend to be more destructive. They need another animal to help socialize them (to learn how to appropriately wrestle, boundaries, etc). Most times having another cat is the best, though some may be okay with a gentle dog.

You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page: Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue

All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.

Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue's Adoption Policy
We require all potential adopters to complete an online form. Once received, we review in entirety. We then contact your vet and verify provided information. We will check references, and we contact your landlord, if you rent. Once we have completed the checks, we schedule a virtual visit interview so that we can get to know you and your family and so that you can visit with the kitty in an environment in which they feel safe to see how they may fit into your home and ask any questions of their foster. If everything checks out and we all agree on which cat the adopter is interested in, we set an adoption date based on the cat's status. On or just before adoption da, we send out our contract and medical records to the adopter. We ask that payment is either via Paypal, check, or cash.
