Scary Spice & Baby Mama Spice's Story

Here is a unique opportunity to truly help in the ever growing world of cats! We have two cats who need a special forever home of someone willing to take on these FeLV (feline leukemia) ladies who are a mother daughter duo.

Baby Mama Spice is around 2 years old and has tested FeLV positive. She is a nice cat with good manners but she is terrified of people. She lives in her foster's home with her kitten, Scary Spice. She and the foster have an agreement that the foster can look but not touch. Mama Spice lives in the home as a normal cat that gets spooked easily and does not trust the hand that feeds her. She has a great bond with her kitten and it would be great to be able to adopt them together. Potential adopters should understand FeLV and that Mama Spice will need to be on a diet of high-quality food help maintain her health. Mama Spice is slightly sassy and will swat if the foster gets too close. She is very treat motivated, though, and has started taking treats by hand.

Scary Spice is a 10-month-old, friendly, adventurous kitten. She is from a family of FeLV positive cats and does carry the gene. Out of an abundance of caution, Scary should be the only cat in the home or she can live with FeLV cats. She has not tested positive for FeLV but her status may change in the future. Scary is a very interactive, talkative kitten who likes to be in the middle of everything. She likes attention and pets but is not very snuggly. She takes her duties very seriously and must inspect every new addition to the home, no matter how insignificant. She scored 100% for inspecting grocery bags. She also loves to knock things over and harvest from the garbage. Scary is delightful and is sure to make her adopters laugh every day.

We encourage interested adopters to research FeLV and if you are truly interested in adopting please fill out at application at https://pawswatch.org/adoptions/ Taking on these two would be asking a lot financially and we would like to work with potential adopters to help with the adoption cost.
