Satchmo's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.North Texas Cat Rescue P.O Box 1504 McKinney, TX 75070 214.454.9395 www.northtexascatrescue.com<br/>Satchmo was found on the access road of Hwy 75 in McKinney. His foster mom was going home from work and due to traffic took the access rd instead of the hwy. He was huddled up against the median and even though she was pretty sure he was not alive, she had to check. Running across two lanes in heels, a suit and a cat carrier, as she approached, his eyes moved and she knew he was alive. She scooped him up and took him home. Surprisingly he had very little damage, bumps scrapes and a badly bruised tongue which made it hard to eat at first, but he got the all clear from the vet. He is a little shy at first but super sweet and loves to make biscuits when you pet him. One of our volunteers spent some time with him at Petsmart and says he is a winner, and she had a hard time leaving him. He would do best in a quieter home most likely. Unfortunately his foster mom has a permanent cat that is a Grade A bully and he doesn't much like that so he hides from her. He might do best as an only cat or in a home with a cat that is more docile. Please contact NTCR AT 214-454-9395 should you have any concerns or questions. Please note: We appreciate all interest in our cats and kittens, but we are an all volunteer organization. Please be patient with regard to a call back. Should you need to surrender the cat you adopted from NTCR, please email us at surrenderNTCRcat@northtexascatrescue.com.
