Sassy's Story

Hi there! My name is Sassy and I'm at the Santa Maria Campus. I'm a 7 year old, female, Domestic Shorthair who came to SB Humane in search of a new caring home.

I'm a quiet soul who takes life at my own pace. New places and new people can feel a little overwhelming for me, so I need some time, patience, and gentle encouragement to feel safe. But once I know I can trust you, I start to come out of my shell-and that's when my sweet, affectionate side begins to shine.

I love soft blankets, quiet corners, and calm voices. I might not be the first to jump into your lap, but I'll quietly make my way there when I'm ready. If you're someone who understands that the best friendships take time to grow, I think we'd be a perfect match.

Interested in meeting me? Adoption Centers are open daily 12-4:30pm, closed Wednesdays. Adoptions are on a first-come first served basis. For more information please email Adopt@SBHumane.org or call 805-964-4777.

When I am adopted, I will have been spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adopters will receive a certificate for a free veterinary exam and our partners at Purina will provide a supply of food for my first few days at home.

Our adoption fees help support our community programs and the next animal who needs our help!
