ADOPTION PROCESS: You are more than welcome to Meet & Greets any of our animals by appointment Thursday - Monday. Please Email... SAVE@FlipsIslandRescue.org NO ADOPTIONS WILL TAKE PLACE UNLESS WE HAVE THE FOLLOWING... 1) Complete the FIRS Adoption Application. Click the button to the right that says LEARN MORE ABOUT US and that will take you to a new screen. Then click the button that says ADOPTION APPLICATION. This will take you to our WEBSITE at www.FlipsIslandRescue.org/adopt wher you can CLICK on the CAT Adoption Application OR DOG Adoption Application 2) FIRS REQUIRES along with an Application... - Home Photos for where the animals will reside - Vet Background Reference Checks done by FIRS - Landlord Background Check (If you RENT) done by FIRS 3) A FIRS Adoption Coordinator will follow up with you AFTER we have received the application and the vet & landlord background checks have been completed. This typically takes 3 to 5 business days to let you know if you are a good fit. If you do not hear back from us within 5 business days, please contact us by emailing SAVE@FlipsIslandRescue.org. 4) If we feel you are a good fit, we can schedule an In person meet and greet with the foster family and the animal. 5) Review vet records, sign adoption contract, pay adoption fee. Welcome home your new family member. NOTE: There is no guarantee of adoption at any step in the process. We are a match making organization. We do not adopt first come first serve. Our priority is finding the right home for the cats and dogs in our rescue. Once your adoption application is on file, you may use it for consideration of any adoptable animal in the rescue. A new application does not need to be completed.
