SARI's Story
Sari first captured my heart on July 31st, 2023—and it’s impossible not to love her once you know her.

Born in February of 2021, Sari came to us via our friends at Community Cat Crew as a brand-new stray mama from the Conklin area. She had already tested FeLV positive and still had a litter to raise, so she spent several months in their care—first with her babies, then on her own—until we were able to welcome her into our program. During that time, her world became very small and very quiet, filled mostly with human companionship. That experience shaped her into the little princess she truly is (and inspired her name), but it also meant she lost interest in socializing with other cats.

When Sari arrived at Feline Wellness Center, she made her feelings about feline roommates very clear—hissing if another cat so much as crossed her line of sight. But close the door, scoop her up, and suddenly she was all purrs, head bonks, and affection. Draped over arms, soaking up love, Sari showed us exactly who she was meant to be with: people.

Now, heartbreakingly, Sari finds herself back with us in early January of 2026 after the sudden passing of her beloved owner. She didn’t just lose her home—she lost her person. Despite that loss, Sari remains the same funny, attention-loving girl with the adorable personality I fell for from the very beginning. She has been hissing a bit at the other cats again, but there is no aggression there at all—just a cat who would much prefer to be the center of someone’s world.

Sari is incredibly plush, soft, and delightfully squishable—and she genuinely enjoys being held. She’ll happily wrap her arms around your neck and stay there, content just to be close. She would thrive as an only cat in a calm, loving home where she can soak up all the affection she deserves. That said, she could also be adopted alongside My Cousin Vinny, her longtime companion. While she doesn’t need another cat in her orbit, Vinny would undoubtedly cherish a reunion—Sari was his little big sister for quite some time, and she took very good care of him.
Sari is a devoted companion, a lap cat, a shadow, and a comfort all wrapped up in one beautiful girl. We are once again committed to finding our pretty princess the castle of her dreams—one where she can feel once again cherished, and loved for the rest of her days. She is more than worthy of that, and of all the best our little corner of the world has to offer.
