Sarah's Story
Sarah - Female DOB 9/26/2018 Domestic Short Hair - Dilute Tortoiseshell

Sarah is a tender-hearted kitty who’s ready to find a calm home to call her own. This beautiful girl is front-declawed, so she’ll need to be kept strictly indoors where she can feel safe. After a few recent changes in her life, Sarah is looking for a quiet space where she can truly relax on a sunny window perch or a welcoming lap.

Sarah is very shy and will take a while to adjust to her new surroundings, but with lots of patience, you’ll soon discover her affectionate side. Once she feels comfortable, she loves to cuddle and will happily spend her days close to you. And she loves a gentle brush session. She pretty much stays in a bedroom with other cats for company and hasn't quite ventured out into a bigger area to explore. We don't know what her prior life was like, but it appears it was probably a fearful one with little to no human contact. She will need patient humans who are able to get on the floor to pet her and help her feel comfortable with getting petted. She may take months before she's wanting to come out of her safe room wherever she gets set up in.

Sarah gets along well with other kind, mellow cats, so she would be fine going home to another cat for company, but she would also be fine in a home all to herself getting all the spoiling and attention. She is slightly more afraid of most men and will hide sometimes, but she does slowly adjust with more exposure. But she would definitely feel more comfortable with a woman human in her life where she's been used to being around mostly women. That's not to say she wouldn't slowly adjust to a man but it will take her a bit longer is all. She will do best without dogs or small children — somewhere serene where she can blossom at her own pace.

Please apply via our easy online application at https://furrr.org/cat-adoption-process/
