Sarah's Story

Sarah is a shy but sweet girl who is working on her confidence. She loves to explore and play, but can be a little nervous when she meets new friends. In a gentle, patient home we know Sarah will flourish. She gains confidence from hanging out with her sister, Dizzy. The two sisters wrestle hard, love to play chase, and when they're all tuckered out, love to cuddle up together for a nap. Sarah and Dizzy will provide endless entertainment and love to their new family.

Contra Costa Humane Society's Adoption Policy

CCHS has animals available for adoption through a number of different avenues. Many of our kittens and all dogs are cared for in loving foster homes until they are adopted. Teenage, adult, senior and special-needs cats reside at Kitty Corner, an on-site, private cat shelter where cats are allowed to free-roam at all times, lounge in sunny windows and on comfy cat towers, and play to their heart's galore. Similarly, we also have animals available for adoption through our Re-Homing Assistance Program, where we help to advertise animals that caregivers are no longer able to keep. If you are interested in meeting any of the animals listed on our website, please complete an adoption application unless otherwise noted! Our business office and Kitty Corner are located at 171 Mayhew Way, Suite 101 in Pleasant Hill, CA 94523. Kitty Corner houses adult, senior, and special-needs cats (sometimes teenage kittens).
