SAPPHIRE's Story

I was rescued from the street where life was hard. I am still at times shy and hesitant. I am working on being braver with the help of shelter staff. I am doing better with each day. Shelter staff tell me that I am stunning with my black coat and green eyes. And that my person will come who will want to help me continue to gain confidence and feel safe with the gift of time. A quiet home. With a slow introduction, I would be ok with another cat in the home. At my vet visit my age was estimated to be 2 years. For information about me and/or the adoption process email ds4paws@hotmail.com or call Rob at the shelter 508 822 1463. An approved adoption application is required to bring me home.

Taunton Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
**PLEASE CALL AHEAD FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET PETS AT THE SHELTER. 508-822-1463** Adopt a "best friend" for life! Please remember that dogs and cats of all ages need and deserve happiness, love, and a home. In return, they will love you unconditionally for all of your years together. We adopt to New England Residents only and require current/past veterinarian references. An application is REQUIRED to adopt an animal. Vet references will be checked, as well as references for those who rent. Adoption of an animal will be based on APPROVED applications only. We do not accept debit/credit cards. Payment must be check or money order with proper ID or cash. If submitting an application for a dog, please email it to rdanielczyk@taunton-ma.gov or gasman6637@icloud.com Dogs are $200.00 and cats are $165.00 (kittens up to 6 months are $185.00). This price includes the spay/neuter, rabies shot, and other required vaccinations.
