Sapphire's Story

Status: Available or Foster to Adopt

Gender: Spayed Female
Approximate age: 3 years old

Likes: Slow approaches, being pet slowly and gently, playing gently

Dislikes: Fast movement, the vacuum cleaner, new people

Personality: Very shy at first. Will hiss at strangers but is actually the sweetest. She has never made any attempt to hurt anyone except for hissing. She sounds scary but if you go slow, she will let you pet her and she will eventually like it. She loves churu and that makes working with her a lot easier. Sapphire will even lick it off of your finger. She is in our holding space so she doesn't get enough one-on-one time as she would if she was in a traditional foster home. She is available for foster-to-adopt where you can see how she does in your home before you decide to adopt. Deep down, there is a sweet, loving kitty who is looking for a home to thrive in. She's just scared right now.

Background: Tenant surrendered her along with her kitten, an intact male from the home, another momma cat with her three kittens. Pet Pride took the mom and three kittens while we kept the intact male (Talon), Sapphire and Emerald (her kitten).

Vetting done: Fully vetted: spayed, up to date on rabies, FVRCP vaccines, combo tested (neg/neg), microchipped and dewormed

Concerns:
Medical: None
Behavioral: None, just shy

Intake date: 8/23/25

Location: Foster home

Adopt:
https://form.jotform.com/rightmeowrescue/adoption-application
