Sapphire's Story

Hi, I'm Sapphire.

I'm a very shy, quiet cat who's looking for a calm and understanding home. I tend to hide-sometimes for long stretches-when I'm nervous or adjusting to a new space. It takes me a long time to feel safe, so I need someone who's patient and doesn't mind giving me plenty of time and space to come around at my own pace.

I won't be the cat who greets you at the door right away or asks for attention on day one-but with consistency and kindness, I do slowly open up. Once I trust you, I'll show my softer side: curling up nearby, sleeping at the foot of your bed, or gently asking for quiet affection.

I'd do best in a peaceful home without young children or loud activity. I get along well with calm cats and absolutely love dogs-when I was a tiny kitten, I used to nap right on top of my foster home's dog! These days I still like to cuddle up close to them for comfort.

I'm fully litter box trained, comfortable with both regular and automatic boxes, and I'm not a picky eater (though a little rotisserie chicken now and then makes me purr). Most of the time, you'll find me tucked away in a cozy spot, quietly observing the world.

If you're looking for a companion to nurture gently over time-a cat who will love you in quiet, subtle ways once she feels safe-I might be the one for you.
