Sandy's Story

I’m Phillip, Sandy’s foster dad, and this boy is truly something special.

Sandy absolutely loves people. He’s confident, calm, and has that easygoing personality that makes him feel like he’s been part of your home forever. He enjoys relaxing nearby, keeping you company while you go about your day, and occasionally chiming in with the sweetest, soft little meow. He’s the kind of cat who just fits.

He also has a playful side when the mood strikes, and he definitely knows when it’s mealtime — you’ll see him come trotting in like he’s been waiting all day for it. Most of the time, though, he’s perfectly content snoozing, lounging, and being your quiet, steady companion.

Sandy would do best as the only cat in the home, where he can fully settle in and enjoy being the center of attention. He’s happiest as the king of his domain, soaking up all the love without having to share it.

Sandy is ready for a home where he can bring his calm, loyal presence — the kind of cat who doesn’t demand attention, but ends up being your favorite part of the day.

Born 12/1/2021

Sandy is FIV+. FIV is a virus that can cause a weakened immune system, but most FIV+ cats live normal lives with no difference in lifespan compared to other cats. FIV is spread only through deep bite wounds or mating, so there’s minimal risk to other cats in the home, especially since Sandy is already neutered. Regular vet visits to detect illnesses early are important for FIV+ cats, but many FIV+ cats will live long, healthy lives with little to no symptoms.

If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my rescue family at MeowtownAR@gmail.com to arrange a visit with my foster home!
