Sandy's Story

Sandy is one of the most unique and impressive kittens we've ever met. That might sound like hyperbole, but it's actually true! A first glance at her can be quite shocking - Sandy has congenital deformities affecting her back leg, front paw, and tail. She looks a bit like a broken kitten, but we know she's actually just Built Different.

Fortunately, if you spend any amount of time with her you'll quickly learn she is so much more than her unique little limbs. There is nothing this girl can't do! Sandy has a zest for life and has learned to move around as deftly as any cat her age. At breakfast time she's the first one in line, sprinting over and making her presence known. She's also an excellent wrestler and has taken on many a sibling twice her size!

But really, the best thing about this tiny fighter is her immense capacity for love. She will flop onto a lap and curl up for hours, purring and accepting belly rubs. ('Flopping' is kind of her thing, and once you see it, you'll seriously wonder if you've ever seen anything cuter in your whole life.) She's also been known to bathe her siblings tenderly and can often be found snoozing alongside them. She is a perfect companion and will do the best in a home that revels in her abundance of strengths.
