SAMPSON's Story

****This kitty is in foster , please call to discuss***** Meet handsome Sampson, a very special boy to all of us here at TJO. Sampson’s journey hasn't been an easy one—he came to us after a Good Samaritan noticed him outside with a serious foot injury. Upon examination, our veterinary team became concerned that the injury could be a cancerous mass.

To give Sampson the very best chance at a healthy, happy future, it was decided that amputation of his leg was the best course of action—and thankfully, it was successful in removing the cancer.

Sampson has been in a loving foster home during his recovery and has been nothing but an absolute love. He is a gentle cuddler who adores attention and has even done wonderfully with kiddos. Sampson truly just wants to be with his people and will happily soak up all the love you have to give.

Because he doesn’ t enjoy being alone for long periods, Sampson would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time—such as a work-from-home household or one with staggered schedules.

Our veterinary team has given him a clean bill of health. While none of us can predict the future, we believe Sampson has many loving, happy years ahead of him.

Through it all, Sampson has shown incredible resilience and spirit. Now, he’s ready to put his past behind him and find a home where he will be cherished for the amazing, strong, and loving boy he is. OTHER PETS: We think Sampson would be OK by himself or with other pets who are gentle and respectful as he is a tripod. OWNER EXPERIENCE: Sampson's adopter must have experience with kitty guardianship. KIDS: Sampson is a great kitty. He is gentle with respectful younger kiddos as well as adults. ACTIVITY LEVEL: Sampson likes to be with his humans, he has a nice balance between playful and snuggly VETERINARY CARE: Sampson's adopter must have a relationship with his vet. Where we do not expect his cancer to return issues such as arthritis may come up in his future. LEVEL OF SOCIALIZATION: Sampson hasn't met a person he doesn't like. We expect him to move pretty easily into his new home. GROOMING: Sampson will require regular brushing to keep his gorgeous buff coat matt free.
