Sammich's Story
Sammich was left behind at a home in Ferndale when his owner moved out. He didn't get a lot of interaction so he's a little wary of people, but once he feels safe he will let his guard down and seek you out for comfort. Sam LOVES pets especially on his head and butt. He also loves to play and is known to get the zoomies when playing with his favorite mouse toys. We feel that Sam didn't have the love and care that he so desperately wanted in his previous home and is making up for lost time now that he feels safe and secure in his loving foster home! He isn't a fan of belly rubs and does not like to be picked up, but he likely didn't have exposure to either of those things in his previous home. Sam is still learning how to trust humans, but he has made such great progress in his foster home. He is still known to hiss when he feels scared in a new environment with new humans, but those hisses usually subside after a day or two. He just requires a bit of reassurance and consistency in order to feel secure.

Sams foster mom describes him as independent, but very interested in humans and will come to you for pets when called! He is also described as being clean and communicative all great qualities to have in a furry little roommate. Sammich is a total ham who loves to lounge in cozy spots. He just recently started to take daily naps on his foster moms bed!

Sam will require a proper acclimation space of his own for the first week or two when he transfers to his forever home. He would do best with a patient and understanding human who has experience working with nervous kitties. He is likely to hide when he first arrives to his home, but he does warm up rather quickly. Sam isn't a lap cat just yet, but his foster moms feels that he has the potential to blossom into a lap cat in his forever home.

Sam would do best in a forever home with another cat buddy to snuggle up with. He would not do good in a home with a dog and small children. His ideal forever home would be peaceful and full of love!

Sammich is currently in a loving foster home. His adoption fee is $150.

Please apply to meet him today!
