Sami's Story

Sami is an affectionate girl. She easily adapted to new cats and loved spending time with kittens.

Sami loves attention from her humans the most. She will rub against your legs, crawl into your lap or get your attention to ask for pets. She has the energy of an adult cat [vs. kitten energy] and we believe this is more related to her having to survive the elements. She is learning about toys and is playful with the ribboned wand toy.

Sami’s story: One day Sami wandered up to the family and the people fed her and then she would return to the bean field. She would always come back for food and pets. Then one day they noticed she was pregnant, and they brought her to LTAR. Unfortunately, she lost her 4 babies, as the elements & pregnancy were very challenging for this tiny little girl.

Sami responds to her name; she is very sweet and has put her 'hard life' behind her. When in a space with other cats Sami shows an independent demeanor.

We have not seen her with dogs; her first known exposure will be at the Shakopee Chuck & Don’s Pet Supply Store. Based on how she interacts with the other cats we believe this would also be true for dogs and we will be observing to confirm. Sami is quite adaptable… she is a 'go with the flow' type of girl.

If your family loves kitties and you feel you might be the purrrr-fect match for Sami, email LauraCandDCats@gmail.com to start the application process.

Lake Traverse Animal Rezcue website: http://www.laketraverseanimalrezcue.com/
Follow us on Facebook for kitten updates, success stories, and cat care tips https://www.facebook.com/RezcueReels
We accept donations to support our lifesaving work via:
- credit, debit or paypal here: https://www.paypal.com/us/fundraiser/charity/2134262
- CashApp: $LTAR1
- Venmo: @laketraverseanimalrezcue code 3420
