Sam's Story

Sam is a short haired brown tabby with beautiful green eyes. His estimated birth date is 7/8/13 and he is 4 foot declawed. He was initially rescued by a woman who took him in when her neighbor left him behind but then she wasn’t able to care for him any longer and he came to StreetCats. He previously lived with another cat and a dog but not for a long period of time. He came with the name of Sweety because he is very sweet but we renamed him Sam to indicate he is neutered male. He was adopted immediately upon coming into StreetCats but the adoption did not work out possibly because it was an active family and they also had a boxer. While they tried very hard to make it work they felt he was too nervous around their dog and he was too shy to join the family. He is now in StreetCats and he is out and about all the time and doesn’t have a problem with other cats. He may want a more adult family (we don’t know about the people who left him behind but the family he initially came from was two adults). All cats have tested negative for FeLeuk/Aids and are current on rabies and FVRCP vaccinations. All kitties have Home Again microchips implanted and are registered at no charge to the owner. StreetCats is located at 60th & S. Sheridan in Tulsa on the east side of Sheridan behind Charlie’s Chicken. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Our website is www.streetcatstulsa.org and Facebook is www.facebook.com/streetcatsinc.
