Sam's Story

This big orange boy is named Sam (otherwise known as Sammy Lammy, Sammy boy, or Sam the Man). Sam loves playtime (especially with rowdy kittens), and has chosen a ginorous stuffed carrot as his favorite toy! Sam requires an EXPERIENCED parent willing to keep up with his energetic, spirited (and very orange) personality. Sam has struggled with behavioral issues in the past but has made substantial progress since coming to Saints. He's still young, but growing fast and looking to be a BIG cat (his paws are enormous!!).

Sam has a tendency to lash out at unpredictable times. We DO NOT recommend him in a home with children. We theorize he may have a condition similar to Hyperesthesia Syndrome wherein he lashes out in anger (bites or scratches whoever he is closest to) when becoming overstimulated (whether that be from pets/scratches or environmental factors). Saints unfortunately does not have the money to fund a comprehensive vet visit that may identify Sam's issue(s).

We believe Sam would do well with an indoor/outdoor situation (he loves sniffing and eating grass when let out around the property) and someone with the patience, empathy, and time to care for this sensitive boy.

If you are able, please please consider scheduling an appointment to meet with Sam!
