Sam's Story

Sam is a strapping, 15-pound one-year-old boy with the looks of a model and the heart of a teddy bear. The moment you make eye contact, he starts purring—he doesn’t even need to be touched to show his love. Sam adores everyone he meets and wants nothing more than to cuddle, be held, and hang out with his people.

Sam has tested positive for FeLV (feline leukemia virus) on a SNAP test, so we did confirmatory bloodwork. What's amazing is he has something called a "regressive" infection - he was exposed to it as a kitten, but actually fought it off so it's in such low levels it's unlikely to ever cause problems! (Kind of like cancer remission.) This is great news, and we just want to be up front but there's really nothing he can't do and can live an ordinary life like any other cat!

Sam is very healthy and can live a long, happy life with good care! No special medicine or diet required, only taking him to the vet for check ups the way you would any pet. In fact, she was tempted to take him home herself! Right now, he is thriving, full of love, and ready to pour that love into his forever family.

We love Sam dearly and are looking for the best home where he’ll be cherished. If you’re looking for a devoted, affectionate companion who will happily be by your side, Sam is your guy.

Could Sam be your new best friend?
