Sally's Story

Sally came as an untamed cat and has made remarkable progress in a little over a month. Previously, she was living outside with her siblings, coping with the cold, uncertain about where food was coming from and a healthy fear of humans. She is gradually building trust with humans, and will need to have someone who understands she will need time to feel comfortable in new situations. She has been introduced to the family cats in the foster home and didn't have any issues with them. She has been introduced to the family dog, however those introductions didn't go well, so visits have been halted. Human socialization is more important for her than socialization with the dog.

Sally loves playing with her siblings and toys. She enjoys hanging out on the cat tower looking outside. She will not come and sit on your lap; however, she does not mind being picked up. Once settled in she will show her contentment by her loud purrs. She will let her foster mom brush her which she will need daily as she is a longer haired cat. Observations suggest that Sally may have Siberian or Norwegian Forest Cat heritage.
