Salem - Courtesy Listing's Story
Courtesy Post:

Needs a Loving Forever Home

This is a difficult decision because we love Salem, but we don’t feel she is thriving in our multi-pet household and want to find the right home for her.

Salem is a beautiful 3-year-old silver short-haired tabby. She is spayed, microchipped, litter box trained, healthy, and up to date on her vaccinations.

Salem is a loving, affectionate cat who enjoys attention but also likes her own space. She loves sleeping beside you and will happily curl up nearby on the couch, purring while she gets attention. She has even been known to go for walks alongside her person without a leash.

Salem has had several big changes in her short life. As a kitten, she lived in a home with young children who weren’t always gentle with her. Our daughter later adopted her, and Salem was very loving and content with her. After our granddaughter was born, however, the increased activity and a high-energy dog in the home seemed to overwhelm Salem, so we took her in to help our daughter.

We have a multi-cat household, and over time it has become clear that Salem struggles with the activity and dynamics of living with multiple animals. She has become territorial with the other cats, and I simply don’t feel she is happy or thriving in this environment.

Salem seems happiest when things are quiet and she can relax and have the attention of her person. Because of that, we are looking for a calm, adult home where Salem can be the only pet and have the opportunity to truly settle in and thrive.

Previous cat experience is preferred. Please message me at edward_a_ross@protonmail.com and tell me a little about yourself and the home you could offer Salem.
