Salem's Story

Dallas/Fort Worth Texas
We have a veterinarian who is trying to help get this sweet boy a permanent home. He was brought in and has been under her care for about two weeks and provided the following details.

**He needs a back leg amputation, and tail amputation but those two things are financially going to be covered. Just looking for a forever home with someone who is familiar with expressing cats. ***

“He is about 1 yr old and does not have any urinary incontinence but can’t express his bladder on his own. The injury happened 2 weeks ago and he has been under my care after going to ER. The leg has a mid femoral and acetabular fracture so it needs amputated as well as a short tail amputation due to avulsion of the tail at the caudal tail vertebrae at 2 vertebrae. He is neutered and a very sweet cat and despite medication, laser therapy, and acupuncture he has not regained function of urination but does not need a diaper as he doesn’t have urinary incontinence unless his bladder gets too large from not being expressed which the ER had not told them to do until he came to me.“

If you are interested please let us know and we will pass your contact information to her!
