Sage's Story
Sweet Sage (dilute calico - grey, white, peach F, 1 year old) loves to snuggle with her foster family humans and her bestie brother Winky. She is gentle and affectionate, but also interested in the world around her especially watching the birds outside at the feeder. A unique habit Sage has is her love of watching TV. She knows her humans' habits and at the usual family tv time, Sage perches in front of the TV ready and waiting. Favorites have been Walking with Dinosaurs and the Cosmos series. Sage never turns away from Dinosaurs and watches every minute.

You might notice Sage's eyes look a bit different. An upper respiratory infection as a baby caused some damage and impaired her vision and her tear ducts. She does have frequent sneezes and sometimes needs her nose/eyes wiped clean with a wet cotton ball. Sage still enjoys life and can see animals outside, toys, food, people and TV. Sage is very neat in the litterbox and enjoys fresh, clean water, kibble, and wet food.

Sage would do best in a gentle, loving family that that is often home and would like a companion pet to be kept indoors only. She loves to cuddle in bed and on the sofa with her favorite people. Please see the photo with her brother Winky (who has his own post on Petfinder) and consider adopting them both as they are best friends and can often be found together grooming each other.

Interested in meeting Sage? All our cats are in foster homes as we do not have a facility where people can come and meet the cats at any time. The first step is to complete our online application at the link below. Once we have an approved application we can set up an appointment for you to meet her. Please copy/paste the link below into a browser window to get started.
https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/cat-adoption-application

Clicking the "Start your Inquiry" button is internal to Petfinder, and will only delay the process - please copy the link above to our application to start the process.

The adoption fee of $140 includes spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/ required vaccinations and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new cat for your family.

Although we make the best guess on the breed of our cats, because they come from shelters, we can never be completely certain of the genetic makeup of the cat. All we can tell you for sure is that they are 100% RESCUED!

Thank you for wanting to adopt a Starfish Animal Rescue cat!
