Rusty's Story

Rusty came into the rescue when someone threw him into the yard at home base. After realizing he had been severely abused by being hit in the face by men, it took a few months for him to gain our trust. He is now a mostly inside cat but does like to go outside for only a minute or two in the yard, and then immediately retreats back inside where he is safe and loved on! Rusty gets along great with other gentle kitties, but ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS will he get along with. He may also have been attacked by dogs because he will fiercely lunge at a dog in attack mode!

This sweet boy wants nothing more than for his female human to continually pet him, give him very gentle cheek and chin rubs (now that he trusts humans again), and will plop down on the floor with his belly up and all stretched out so you can rub his belly!

Rusty is also a special needs kittie. He has urinary crystals and must remain on prescription food. He also tested positive for feline AIDS and must remain indoors for the rest of his life. He does love the screened patio and will want to go out to enjoy fresh air, but must come back inside the home freely. He will sleep in bed with you for short periods of time multiple times through the night too. when he isn’t in your bed, you can find him in his condo, bed, or chair.

Adopt Rusty TODAY!

Visit kittiecorral.org for more kitties!
