Rusty's Story

Rusty is an adult spayed female brown tiger, torti domestic short hair. <br/><br/>Rusty came in with a nasty infection and had to be spayed as soon as possible. After some good vet care and a round of antibiotics, she is doing so much better. <br/><br/>She is not a big fan of being held and restrained but she does come out to greet you and enjoys the company of volunteers.

Volunteers For Animals / Genesee County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy
There is a $100 NON-REFUNDABLE FEE for all animals which needs to be cash or a check - NO CREDIT CARDS. If the animal is not spayed or neutered there is a $35 REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT upon proof of surgery. An adoption application must be filled out at the Shelter by the person wishing to adopt the animal. Once the application has been reviewed and approved the potential adopter may visit and meet any of the animals. If you live in Genesee County, all dogs must be licensed BEFORE leaving the Shelter. Please note that public offices that license dogs are not open on the weekends. All dogs must leave the Shelter on a leash. Please bring a leash. All cats must leave the Shelter in a cat carrier. Please bring a cat carrier
