Heartland Pet Welfare's Adoption Policy

Our cats would love to find a new home with you! To come in and see the cats all you have to do is call or email us at heartlandpetwelfare@gmail.com or 1-815-273-0556 and we set up a time that works for you to get together with our volunteer at the shelter to meet the kitties. When you have a cat or kitten picked you will need to fill out the adoption paperwork. We will check with your vet. to see that you are responsible with the care of pets . Our adoption fees are currently $75.00 for one cat or kitten .The adoption fee helps us with the cost for (including but not limited to): Spay (or) neuter costs Combo test for feline leukemia and feline immune virus (FeLk/FIV) Distemper, leukemia, and rabies vaccinations Treatment for ear mites, worms, and fleas Medications the cat needed while in our care.

Heartland Pet Welfare works closely with PetSmart in Davenport, Iowa. We have been partnered with their PetSmart Charities program since 2009 and it has been a wonderful and beneficial experience for both our cats looking for homes and our organization.
