Rushmore's Story
Rush (short for Rushmore) is a young tabby cat learning how to be brave. Originally trapped as part of a TNR effort, Rush showed signs that he wanted a chance at indoor life. He's still very fearful of humans and needs a calm, patient home where he can continue building trust at his own pace. When he's feeling especially brave, he leans in for the sweetest headbutts and happily accepts chin scratches and pets. Rush is incredibly playful and energetic. Hell launch himself through the air after wand toys and is highly food motivated. He also enjoys the company of other cats and would likely do well with a confident feline friend. Because he can become overstimulated and swipe when he's had enough, Rush would do best in an adult-only home with someone who understands shy cats and is willing to let him blossom on his own timeline. <br/>Rush is neutered and up to date on his vaccines.
