Rum & Raisin's Story

Rum & Raisin are two bonded sisters who arrived to us from another rescue where they spent 7 years. They now have a lot more room to roam and are becoming wonderfully unique characters.

Despite their initial shyness, both girls are approachable and friendly, with Rum being the more extroverted sibling. Volunteers are often greeted by her presence in various spots around the shelter - whether she's basking in the sunlight by a window, enjoying a serene nap atop a cage, or socializing with other feline friends. She also enjoys being pet and purrs her heart out.

Raisin, distinguishable by a charming black nose, is the more reserved of the pair. Although cautious about being approached, she warms up to gentle pets. Together, they share a love for the simple pleasures of mealtime, catnip, and, most endearingly, cuddling up with each other.

The girls are on the lookout for a serene and loving home, one that provides them with the stability and safety they need. The new environment will encourage them to fully emerge from their shells. They just need some patience, gentleness and understanding from their new family. In return, these sweet souls promise to fill their forever home with endless love, sweetness and irresistible cuteness.

The girls are FIV/FeLV negative and are about 7 years old. Come visit Rum and Raisin and our other cats during visitor hours on weekends (12-2pm).
