Rufus's Story

Meet Rufus

Rufus is a sweet, shy orange tabby boy with a heart full of love—especially for gentle pets and kindness. He was found wandering the streets of Bridgeport and was rescued by a kind woman who already had German Shepherds. Rufus surprised everyone with his calm confidence: he wasn't afraid to approach the big dogs and happily ate from their dishes, showing just how gentle and easygoing he is. He seems fine with cats here, too. We think he would be great in any home, with proper introduction.

About 11⁄2 years old, Rufus is still young and eager to bond. Once he feels safe, his affectionate nature truly shines. He would do wonderfully in a patient, loving home where he can continue to build confidence and enjoy the simple joys of being cared for.
