Rudy's Story

***NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat under 3 for company. Two is better than one, twice the fun and 1/2 the work***
Update Jan 14th,2026 - Rudy is now at the Pet Valu, 1080 Wilson St W in Ancaster by Walmart. Go pay these cuties a visit.
Please read Rudy's bio, requirements for adoption and if you think he would be a good fit then go to avacats.org and fill out an online application form. An adoption co ordinator will be in touch
Jan 2026 - Little Rudy was a pull from Hamilton Animal Services back beginning of December. He had a bad upper respiratory illness and major eye infections and we were asked if we could take him on. He has recovered nicely with antibiotics, eye drops , good food and TLC. His right eye still has a slight clear discharge from time to time but it just needs a wipe. Rudy is a lively, bright, kitten who just loves to run, play, purr and cuddle. He loves to hang out with the foster mom's other cats. He has been flea treated, dewormed twice, his 1st FVCRP vaccine plus rabies, and microchipped. He still needs a booster FVCRP vaccine which is his owners responsibility prior to his neuter at 4 - 5 months which is included in his $275 adoption fee. Rudy MUST be adopted to a home with another young cat under 3 or kitten to keep him company. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy.
