Rudy's Story
- Rudy was born outside in some trees around October of 2024. In December, when he was old enough, his momma brought him and his 2 siblings Dasher and Vixen to this cool place called "Cat Camp" where this nice lady had food and a warm shelter. He loved it so much that he stayed and watched the resident cats through the door as they played.

- At night, he would sometimes sleep in the heated food bowl to stay warm! Within 2 months, he let the nice lady pet me and then pick him up and bring him inside where it was even warmer! He was a little scared at first, but he became attached to one of the resident cats who is now his BFF, and he showed him that it was okay to be inside where it was safe. He now weigh 5 lbs. as of 3-12-25.

- His foster mom named him Rudy because it was Christmas time and he had a little red nose.

- He is learning how to be a kitten instead of just learning survival skills. As part of socialization, he has been introduced to all parts of the house, different objects, other cats & people, & different experiences; all to help him adjust to new situations.

- He is starting to exhibit all of the behaviors of adult cats, trying more daring & complex feats, using body language to communicate with his foster mom, & seeking out attention.

- He is getting more skilled &adventurous, learning so much from the resident cats!

- He learned to use the litter box right away, scratch on scratch posts & pads, & to jump on & off his foster mom's bed. He likes to sneak up and lay next to her head when she is sleeping!

- He doesn't bite or use his claws when playing with his foster mom. He is getting used to loud noises such as a blow dryer & vacuum cleaners.

- He loves to play with the other cats, wrestle with cat nip fish toys, chase ping pong pong balls, & enjoys a good squeezable treat! He also love tunnels, toy mice, & sleeping in the cat tree cradle.

- He has learned his name and makes cute little vibrating sounds with his voice when he sees his BFF.

- He is a little shy at first, but purrs when being pet and will snuggle in your neck when held.

- He has not met a dog or children yet, but he has adjusted so well to other things, so he would be okay.

- He would really love to find his furever home soon and would love to have another kitty friend to keep him company!
