Ahhh....Sweet Little Ruby Valentina La Chatte. Ruby is a young kitty, our guesstimate is that she was born sometime late August of 2024.<br/><br/>First, we must say that Ruby was hand-picked as a name for this precious little gem. She is the perfect, petite, house panther - a true beauty, with her stunning eyes, soft panther coat, and petite little frame. She can light up a room with her sweet, spunky playfulness.<br/><br/>Let's go back - We first saw Ruby in February at the local shelter where she was surrendered as a stray kitten. According to the person surrendering her, she was found outside and because of that the staff believed she was unsocialized and possibly feral and was slated to go to a barn home rescue. We saw something different. We saw a very scared little girl hiding in the corner, so we asked if we could pull her into the rescue and give her the chance that she so desperately needed and deserved. She proved immediately that she was simply just terrified and didn't understand what was happening and where she was. <br/><br/>Ruby has grown in leaps and bounds since that February day! Ruby has grown in confidence, loves to get attention, is always ready for meals, and that girl can eat!! Thank goodness for her, she has a super high metabolism or she'd be in trouble!<br/><br/>She is quite playful (as you can see from the attached video) and gets along with cats and is even making advances toward the dogs - they have nose touched, and she's taking notes and deciding if that's good or they just smell funny. <br/><br/>She hates loud noises and that's one thing that will send her running. She is a little timid when first meeting someone new, but once your on her "good" list, you get gold stars next to your name.<br/><br/>Ruby has not been around children, and a home with small children is probably not a good fit for her. As mentioned, she has been around other cats and cat-friendly dogs and does well, although we believe she would be quite content as the star of her own show. <br/><br/>The perfect human companion will have prior experience with cats, be able to spend ample time with Ruby in a stable and quiet environment with a predictable routine, and understand that she will need time and patience to be comfortable in new surroundings. With the right environment, Ruby will be your best friend and companion, and having her cuddle on your lap will be so rewarding, but earning her lifelong trust = priceless. <br/><br/>Can you be Ruby’s forever safe place where she can continue to blossom and live life to the fullest?
