Ruby & Archie - We're a bonded pair!

Ruby and Archie are a sweet bonded pair who came to us through one of our local TNR partners. They are fully adjusted to a life of scheduled meals, cozy beds, snuggles and belly scratches. They can be shy around new people, especially loud people, but will warm up once they get comfortable.<br/><br/>Archie is a little lap cat. She loves a good snuggle, and if you sit still, she's coming to sit on you. Her purr is super loud but she never meows, even when breakfast is late. She's very food motivated, and loves a treat. She does have a taste for people food, but is learning not to try to steal from a plate. She's curious and adventurous and even a little nosy, loves checking out strange noises, sneaking into closets, looking through bags and chasing balls and toys around the house, and tends to get zoomies in the evening. Archie is particularly attached to cozy beds, and warm sunbeams.<br/><br/>Ruby is more aloof, preferring to let Archie check things out and report back to her. She's a little shadow kitty: she likes to follow you around, rub on your ankles, be in the room with you, be near you, but not necessarily be held. She loves to be petted and scratched, and has a definite elevator booty if you scratch her by her tail. Her preferred method of cuddling is to lean up against you, and likes to sleep stretched out along your leg. She's chattier than her sister, and will sometimes quietly meow as she wanders around. She prefers to sit on a higher perch, and loves a good window hammock. She's very noisy if breakfast is late, and will meow loudly and dance around while you get her bowl ready, or if her water bowl is empty. <br/><br/>Dog sociability: Possibly with a very slow, controlled introduction to a calm, cat friendly dog<br/>Cat sociability: Yes, very friendly!<br/>Kid sociability: Will do better with older kids who can be calm, gentle and quiet until they get to know each other.<br/><br/>Likes: Each other, playing hide and seek, peace & quiet. Both kittens love wand toys, especially those with feathers and jingle bells. They lose their minds over spring toys. They love chasing toys, climbing cat trees, and snuggling up together. Ruby prefers higher perches, especially a sunny window hammock. Archie likes caves and boxes, but will join Ruby for cuddles anywhere. Archie particularly likes to watch videos. They love toys that drop treats when they play, and their favorite high-value treats are Churu and scrambled eggs.<br/><br/>Dislikes: Scary noises, fast movements, people that can't respect their boundaries. Neither of them likes being picked up, but both like being held on their own terms. They won't eat pate cat food.<br/><br/>The adoption fee is $150. All cats are up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered, and microchipped.
