From the start, Ruby faced challenges — she dragged her left hind leg, causing repeated abrasions. With time and testing, it became clear she had sustained a spinal injury at birth or shortly after, resulting in paralysis. She has no sensation in her tail or privates and requires regular bladder and bowel expression.<br/>And yet… Ruby never let any of that stop her.<br/>She raced through her foster home just like any other kitten — curious, determined, and full of life. Due to ongoing infections, her left hind leg was ultimately amputated, and once again Ruby adapted beautifully. Her foster mom learned alongside her, advocating fiercely every step of the way. Real Trooper Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Adopters complete an online application which includes 2 personal references and a vet reference. They forward pictures of their home for a virtual home visit. Upon approval they have a meet and greet with the cats/kittens of interest. An adoption contract is completed if a match is made and their new family member goes home with them.
