Roxie - a survivor's Story
Roxie says she will keep fighting because she loves indoor life! Roxie is our senior kitty found starving to death at not quite 4 pounds. Estimated to be between 10-15 years old. She was diagnosed with an auto immune disease-pemphigus foliaceus. A horrible disease that causes her to have problems walking and her skin just full of scabs and bumps. With a treatment of steroids and Atopica, we noticed she started breathing faster than normal. We got her into the cardiologist and she now has congestive heart failure, caused by the steroids. We cannot take her off the steroids, because of her disease. We caught it early and she has an additional 3 meds to take, but keep her in your prayers. Roxie would like a break! Isn't she beautiful? She really cannot be adopted but we love showing her off!
