MEET ROUX! *Would like to be only pet* Roux is a transport cat who came with notes from his Texas foster family. Here is an excerpt: This handsome black domestic shorthair boy was found living in an empty field next to a busy Walmart. While stand-offish at first, after a few short weeks of regular interaction, Roux eventually showed he was really a big sweetheart. Based on behaviors both inside and outside, it has been determined that Roux would do best in a home without cats, children, or dogs (he was frequently chased by stray dogs while outside and is terrified of them). He will need an experienced cat owner who can read his body language and respect the very clear boundaries he sets when he becomes overstimulated. This guy absolutely loves to play so frequent daily playful interactions would really help him thrive. If Roux sounds like the cat for you, come meet him in Brewster! Roux is currently up to date on all vaccines, neutered, microchipped and has been seen by our veterinarian.
