Rosie's Story
Rosie is a beautiful, sweet, orange, medium length female cat who is about 4 yrs old. She was living outside and when someone noticed she was pregnant, they brought her inside. On 5/27/06, she delivered 5 beautiful kittens. Shortly thereafter, she was blood tested for feline leukemia and feline aids. She tested positive for feline aids.

Rosie was a wonderful Mom and took great care of her kittens. She has been separated from them and has been spayed. She is now looking for a loving home as the only cat or in a home with other FIV cats. Not all FIV positive cats become symptomatic. Some live long healthy lives without becoming ill even though they do have the capacity to transmit the condition, which is why they cannot live with cats who do not have FIV. There is, of course, the possibility that Rosie could become symptomatic. She is a wonderfully friendly cat and loves to sit in your lap and watch tv with you. She is looking for a family to open up their hearts to her and give her a chance to show them how loving she is and what a wonderful companion she will make. Interested parties should call her foster Mom at 973-429-0829.
