Rosie's Story

MEET ROSIE!

Rosie is a beautiful 9-year-old girl who has been through a lot of change. She entered the shelter after her human was incarcerated, and after already living in less-than-ideal conditions, the shelter environment was simply overwhelming for this sensitive girl. Whiskers stepped in to give her the quiet, safe place she needed.

Rosie is very shy when she first meets new people and needs a patient human who will let her settle in on her own timeline. When she's frightened, she may give you a nervous little growl but it's all talk! Rosie has never tried to swat or be aggressive; she's simply saying, "I'm scared and I need a minute." Once she realizes she is safe, you begin to see what an incredibly sweet, gentle girl she really is.

After getting to know Rosie better, we believe she would be happiest as the only kitty in her home, where she doesn't have to compete for space or attention and can build confidence at her own pace. A calm, predictable home with cozy beds, sunny windows, and humans who understand shy cats would be her dream.

Rosie has had her dental and senior bloodwork completed and is ready for her fresh start. She may not be the kitty who immediately runs into your arms at a meet-and-greet, but for the person willing to earn her trust, we think loving Rosie will be something pretty special. This sweet girl deserves to finally know that she is safe and home for good.
