Rosa's Story
This darling cat has quite a history with us! In August '04, we were helping out overburdened MSPCA drive abandoned pregnant cats to fosterhomes when Baypath Humane offered one for Rosa and we drove her out there. 3 weeks later, Baypath called that Rosa's kittens ALL died, she was sick at their vet's, they had already paid $110.-couldn't afford more, and I must go get her! Right away I did and am so glad they didn't want to spend their money on her and called me because she's a wonderful cat and deserved nothing less than the best treatment. After weeks of antibiotics, force-feeding and fluids, she began to recover. NOW, she is spayed, vaccinated and tested negative for disease-and she's put on 4-5 lbs! If Rosa had been vaccinated, she would NEVER have been so sick, and required such intensive care to save her. She is ready to roll now-to the right home! She is about 3-4 years old, a BEAUTIFUL gray tiger with tiny flecks of orange and large, wide, wise eyes. She likes other non-aggressive cats and is very docile. She will follow you around, purr and want to be near you. She's a loving, gentle soul and wonderful company. UPDATE 11/06-OK, we finally gave up, after having Rosa more than 2 years in a fosterhome and our own home, we are going to keep her. She could care less about our other cats, fits in well, sleeps most of the time, and is affectionate only with our 6 year old who adores her. Oh well, what's one more mouth to feed at this point?
