Romi's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi friends!, I'm Romi! I was rescued from a South Texas Shelter when I was just a young kitten. That was over four years ago and I am still searching for that forever home everyone else seems to find. I am very sweet and absolutely love attention. I really really must sleep next to you every night (you know, to keep you safe). I do have some challenges though and maybe that is why I’m still in foster care. Behaviorally I am 100% awesome! Medically not so much. Issue no. 1 is not so much of a big deal and is commonly known as Viral Conjunctivitis. That a fancy way of saying I have a watery eye. This can be contagious to other kitties but none of the foster kitties in my home ever developed it. Issue no. 2, is that I was recently diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy so my ticker has to be checked out every six months. Thankfully it is in the early stages and I am not on medications as of yet. But it can and will most likely progress. How quickly? No one knows. But for now I am doing okay. And finally the last item on the list is Hip Dysplasia. With that I am not able to run fast or climb quickly. But when I have the zoomies I impress my foster mom with my abilities to get in and out of the cat tree! This too will progress. But even with all of the above, I have remained a loving and fun kitty and try everyday to live my best life. And as much as I love my foster home, I really do want a home of my own. Because of my issues it would be best for me to have a quiet home with a gentle kitty friend. And if there is that special person who is willing to open their home and love me, they should know that my medical treatment has a lifetime sponsor. So anything medically I need would be taken care of. Thank you for reading my story and even if you do not choose me, please consider another rescue cat. We all deserve a forever home!
